Book Cover
For my book cover revision of Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom, I aimed to balance the emotional depth of the narrative with the enduring sense of hope it imparts. I introduced a single falling leaf as a central visual element which is an intentional symbol of impermanence, change, and the fragility of life, while still suggesting renewal. To reinforce the book’s autumnal atmosphere, I incorporated a fall-inspired palette, but elevated it with vibrant, saturated hues. This allowed the design to honor the reflective, sometimes somber tone of the story while maintaining a sense of warmth and optimism.
The interplay between the fall motif and the vivid color choices was meant to visually communicate that even in seasons of decline, there is beauty, growth, and clarity. Ultimately, the revised cover captures the book’s core message: that within life’s most difficult goodbyes, there are lessons, inspiration, and a persistent light that carries forward
